Pre-Production
In this part, the key objective is to narrow down to the ideas or storyline. The concept development and Research, plan the development of the movie in terms of amendments of the script, film cast, film crew, shooting locations scouted, time frame and working out the budget. Create a production calendar. A line manager or production manager is usually hired at this stage to schedule and manage the budget for the film and everything to do with the shoot planned.
Production
The production stage is where realistic film production work begins. This is where the camera rolls. The Producer, Writer, director, the cast, the crew and all the creative minds finally see their ideas captured on film in time and to the ultimate perfection. The primary aim is to stick to the budget and schedule, All the previous stages have been set to ensure the smooth transition of the production process
Post-Production
Once the shooting crew has done with their hard work, now the post-production crew steps in and they get into strenuous hours of work ahead, reviewing and editing the footage which may require visual effects, creating music, composing the soundtrack and put all of them together and craft the same into an impressive story and prepare the project ready for distribution. Corporate, music, Ad and documentary film/video production will be handed over to the producer/client team with changes made after Rough-Cut and Final-Cut stages for picture-Lock approval for the completion of the production
Distribution
Distribution is the conclusive stage of the production process. The film will be handed over to the producer after the picture-Lock approval to take it to their desired viewing platform. It is the work of producer to strike a rewarding deal for distribution amongst the cinemas and other Over The Top (OTT) platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO etc.
